Alpine Bowl
This bowl was a supreme delight to create! My favorite technique is to pyro engrave (wood burn). The lines of this gourd called for simplicity and I believe the drape of the pine branches helped to achieve this.
Be sure to check out the images of how this piece came to be, it’s the “collar” of a large gourd and this was the first time I’ve used one in this way. The finish of the panels reminds me of a an antique leather bound book. It would be quite at home in a library!
