Fall Dreams Ginger Jar
Fall is my favorite time of year, the crisp air and natures color shifts are a reminder that all things have seasons. I begin working on fall colors in the summer when I need relief from our valley heat. I am grateful for color and for the ability to express what nature gives so freely.
Fall Dreams Ginger Jar began with a prayer for color and by my opening her and creating a fitted lid with a lovely finial. Her foliage was all Pyro engraved, then a layer of gilding prior to the many layers of translucent ink medium.
She sits atop a vintage hardwood stand that she is permanently adhered to for stability and grace. She is a lovely size, not too big, not too small.
